The first viewing of the KWPN stallion inspection has finished which means that we can draw up the balance sheet for the Elite Foal Auction Borculo. In total, three former Borculo foals, all bred in the dressage direction, have now been selected as a 2,5-year-old stallion for the second round viewing. They will make their next appearance during the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch, the first weekend of February.
The appealing and strikingly moving Lugano (photo, Governor x Johnson, breeder P. Buwalda, Brummen/owner J.P. Dalsem) was given green light on the final day of the first viewing. A week earlier this beautiful result was already achieved by the fantastically bred Lucky Luke (Desperados FRH x Jazz, breeder S.C. Groet, Rheezerveen/owner H.J. Reverdink) and then also by the impressive Look at Me M (Dream Boy x Flemmingh; breeder J. & E. Mol, Diepenheim/owner J.C.B. Middelbrink & J.J.M. Hendriks).
With these three trump cards we can look forward with excitement to the second viewing. And there is even more to mention. An unprecedented result was achieved by the first crop of the Borculo auctioned and later KWPN approved High Five U.S. (Charmeur x Negro, breeder: De Feyter Seydlitz, Axel / owner J.M. van Uytert & P. Schockemöhle). No less than five of his six offspring -four dressage stallions and one Gelder stallion- earned a ticket for the second viewing!
Finally, there was also indirect success in the jumping direction. Both dams of the second viewing stallions Legend VDP (by Grand Slam VDL) and Lovemaker VDP (by Heartbreaker), both from breeder/owner A. & A.J. van de Pol, Bathmen, were auctioned before in Borculo. It concerns the 1.50m classified Cendy VDP (Triomphe de Muze x Corland, breeder A. N. van der Wey, Oudemirdum) and Chardonnay VDP (Quidam de Revel x Colino, breeder M. Liefhebber, Hoornaar). This great result once more emphasizes that the Elite Foal Auction Borculo is also the perfect place to acquire genetically high-valued broodmares.
