FANTASTIC NIGHT FOR FOAL AUCTION BORCULO

Aug 25, 2022

The jumper foals already proved to be in high demand on Wednesday and on Thursday, the dressage foals followed their lead. Shemar I.K. became tonight’s top seller at 41.000 euros. The son of Total McLaren out of a dam by world champion Glamourdale caused a nail-biting bidding duel between two Dutch bidders. Reesink Horses of Eibergen may call himself the new owner of this exceptionally moving colt.

Filly out of stallion mother
So Vienna, a half-sister of the KWPN-approved stallions Le Formidable and Four Legends KS, was sold for 23.000euros. The filly drew ample interest from Germany, the USA, and England. Yet it was a Dutch buyer that beat them all to it and triumphed, thereby securing a wonderful filly out of an established lineage. Sergeant Endy VDG (s.Dynamic Dream) also earned top money. This colt out of the renowned Endy-line remains in the Netherlands for 23.000 euros. The Las Vegas-son Spotlight Texel was sold for 22.000 euros.

Dutch buyers first
Sir Denys van het Poeleind (s.Fynch Hatton) is sold for 21.000 euros, which was preceded by a long bidding duel. At 19.000 euros the foreign buyers swooped in. Sir Ibiza (s.Ibiza) was sold for 19.000 euros to buyers from Denmark. Buyers from Spain, Germany, Finland, and the United States were also victorious as they placed the winning bid on several foals.

Nol Gerritsen and Wouter Plaizier were responsible for the dressage collection. Nol: “We are more than pleased with tonight’s result. The collection offered something for everyone and included a few amazing highlights.”
