FORMER BORCULO FOAL WITH WINGS IMPRESSES WITH KAREN POLLE DURING THE WEG IN TRYON

Sep 24, 2018

Fifteen years after he was sold at the Elite Foal Auction Borculo, With Wings (s. Larino, breeder G.F.M. Arts) impressed at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon with his athletic scope, fantastic technic and top reflexes. Directly in the opening class this top athlete was one of the leading horses with his rider Karen Polle by claiming 11th spot in a field of 124 competitors. The extremely difficult course of Alan Wade on the second day took its toll for many combination but With Wings and his Japanese rider kept their heads up and qualified for the third day. Again the energetic gelding showed his brilliance. Only the time allowed prevented a clear round but it was enough to start in the individual final on Sunday. On the closing day Polle, who is coached by Jeroen Dubbeldam and Wim Schröder, was even able to climb a couple of places which made With Wings finish on 21st place among the world elite.

The KWPN bred gelding is this year already the second jumping horse that has been auctioned at Foal Auction Borculo and is able to impress at a big championship. In April it was time for Ace (s. Berlin, breeder P.H.M. de Mol) to shine at the FEI World Cup Final in Paris. He finished on 14th place with his American rider Alison Robitaille.
