GREAT SUCCESSES FOR THE BORCULO FOAL AUCTION AT THE KWPN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Aug 19, 2018

Five year old and KWPN approved Imposantos impressed with a stunning victory in the Pavo Cup Final at the KWPN Championships. The son of Wynton showed again his great qualities and even improved after his third place in the same competition last year. In 2013 Imposantos was auctioned at the Borculo Foal Auction and this is again a fantastic result for rider Bart Veeze, owner Theo Driessen and breeder Willy Wijnen.

This year we also offer foals out of the same dam line and from the same breeder. First no. 38 Narina W, a filly by Impression out of the Grand Prix mare Tarina (Jazz x Sultan), who is a sister to the dam of Imposantos. Beside that we offer in the jumping direction(!) no. 52 Narina I W (s. Thunder van de Zuuthoeve). She is bred out of Zarina III (Heartbreaker x Baloubet du Rouet x Sultan), who is a sister to the phenomenal Explosion W (rider Ben Maher).

Impressive tests in the final

But a lot of more successes could be noted during the KWPN Championships in Ermelo. Jazz daughter Hello d’Ottie who was last month also on roll during the WCYH at the same venue finished now eighth in the Pavo Cup. Out of the half-sister to Hello d’Ottie’s dam we auction no. 37 Norma d’Ottie on August 30 in Vragender. Former World Championship competitor Hollywood Tarpania, auctioned as a foal at Borculo, also showed her qualities in the final.

Then there was the nice performance of Jasmijn S (s. Negro) at the 4-year-olds with rider Lars op ‘t Hoog. This mare finished on 17th spot and was sold at our in auction in the past too. The 5yo KWPN stallions Indian Rock (4th) and Iconic B (7th) showed impressive tests during the Pavo Cup final. This year we auction a couple of interestingly bred descendants by these promising sires, like no. 43 Night Dream (Indian Rock x De Niro) and former mentioned no. 37 Norma d’Ottie (Iconic B x Vivaldi).

Blom Cup

During the Blom Cup competition for showjumping talent the KWPN approved Grandorado TN (s. Eldorado van de Zeshoek) finished third with the 7-year-olds. From this promising stallion we have selected no. 38 Na Macoemba (ds. Corland) in our current collection. In the 6-year-olds category there was a fantastic fourth place for Hannah-Gold (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Boy Peels. On Wednesday August 29 we auction no. 63 Ninja Noordenhoek (s. Vivant van de Heffinck) out of the same dam as Hannah-Gold. Both have the well-known Eurocommerce Vicky Gold (rider Gerco Schröder) as their granddam.

National Foal Championship

In total three foals from our current selection were selected for the National Foal Championship. The best result was for no. 4 Nog Een Sinaa (s. Arezzo VDL). This fantastic filly earlier won the Foal Championship in Tolbert and now she clinched sixth spot at the national championship of the jumping foals. No. 50 Naluciënne STM (s. Quantensprung) reached the final of the dressage foals. The filly who won the provincial championship of Overijssel before, now finished beautifully eleventh. Not in the final but surely a worthy representative of our auction at the nationals was no. 5 Next Deniro H (De Niro x Lancet). This colt from the fantastic Small Tour mare Randy Star became already the winner at the 2018 Belgian KWPN Championship.
