THE BORCULO ONLINE FOAL AUCTION: HOW DOES IT WORK?

The collection of ten strictly selected jumping and dressage foals has been introduced and the first edition of the Borculo Online Foal Auction will begin in one week. Bidding on the foals starts from Friday April 26, after which the auction will close on Monday April 29 from 8 pm.
If you’re interested in one or more foals and would like to make a bid, we advise you to read our general auction conditions carefully prior to the auction. Below we have briefly summarized what you should take into account if you want to start bidding.
- Before you can make a bid during our online auction, please register first. This can be done easily through this link.
- After registration you’ll receive a confirmation mail from us to activate your own account. Once your account has been activated, you can login with your username and password, after which you can make a bid on your favourite foal(s) when the auction runs.
- The Borculo Online Foal Auction opens Friday morning April 26 at 10 am and runs till Monday evening April 29. The auction of the first group of foals closes at 8 pm. The second group closes at 8.20 pm and the third at 8.40 pm. In total we have three groups.
- Every time a bid is made in the last five minutes of the online auction’s closing time, the auction will be extended for five minutes. The online auction will be finally closed at the moment no new bid has been made in the last five minutes after the last bid.
- The foal is allotted to the highest bidder. For a buyer it is impossible to withdraw the bid.
- After allotment of a foal the Foundation National Elite Auction Borculo produces an invoice. The buyer has to pay the purchase price, the auction costs of 10% and if applicable, VAT tax. You’ll receive the invoice by mail as well as a confirmation that you’re the highest bidder.
