THRILLING START ONLINE FOAL AUCTION BORCULO

This year Foal Auction Borculo organized a full online auction for the first time. Averaging 10.800 euro, this edition will certainly go down as a successful one.

Because of the Corona virus outbreak, the organization decided early on in the season to organize this year’s auction online. The selection committee was even more strict in their selection and sought out the best foals for this edition. This approach paid off in an excellent average price and satisfied sellers and buyers. Foreign bidders attempted to seize their chance early on, but there were several Dutch buyers that ultimately took the win.

The topseller of the eveing was the Chacco Blue-offspring Purple Blue GP. For 23.000 euro he leaves for Germany. Catoki-daughter Catokey Z stays in the Netherlands and exchanged ownership for 20.000 euro. Phialitha (by Cicero Z van Paemel) was also in high demand, she moves to her new owners in Switzerland. Furthermore, there were buyers from America, France, Italy, Russia, Belgium and England.

Pieter Jan Berkers on behalf of the organization: “Of course it’s a shame we have not been able to organize a vibrant event as in other years. Yet despite the large number of foals we had, we are very satisfied with the revenues of the foals this edition. It is a transparent auction and we have continued this online.”

Tomorrow the dressage foals are on the progam and the buyers already seem eager. Multiple foals have already received some top bids. The auction closes at 7.30pm.
