Next week, the online auction of Elite Foal Auction Borculo will come to an end. Nol Gerritsen and Wouter Plazier have selected 28 top dressage foals. Quality, as always, is the top priority for this duo. The collection is full of well-performing mares, young but certainly proven stallions, and international bloodlines. High selection criteria
Gerritsen and Plazier have traveled thousands of kilometers to find the best foals. They select based on strict criteria:
- A pedigree with proven sports results
- Foals with excellent movement and three good gaits
- Correct leg conformation and an eye for overall conformation
- Each foal is inspected twice by a certified veterinarian

Outstanding foals in the collection
The collection is bursting with outstanding foals. For example, there’s Bontalis van de Kempenhoeve, a combination of the top sire Vitalis and the Small Tour mare Bonita. Umara van het Poeleind also comes from a top lineage. Half-brother to her dam, Favour Gersdorf, is a Grand Prix dressage horse ridden by Nadja Aaboe Sloth. Favour has performed at the highest level for years and was a reserve horse for the silver-winning Danish team at the Paris Olympics.
L’avenir also presents a few impressive foals. For instance, User D’Avenir S has an excellent movement mechanism. And moving is something Unnerstall, the son of Fynch Hatton, excels at as well.
