VARIED COMPANY MAKES FOR STRONG COLLECTION

In a few days, the first auction of Foal Auction Borculo closes. Nol Gerritsen and Wouter Plaizier selected 14 top dressage foals for the Early Summer Auction. This duo’s motto is that ‘quality always comes first’. The collection is replete with well-scoring dams, both up-and-coming and established sires, and international pedigrees. The auction is opened until Thursday June 9th 19.30 hours. As of now, bidding on the foals is open.
Good selection
Plaizier and Gerritsen drive thousands of kilometers each year to select the finest foals. These foals must comply with the following criteria:
- A pedigree with lots of sport and proven performance
- A good movement mechanism and three strong gaits
- Correct leg stances and the selectors have an eye for conformation
- A certified veterinarian checks the foals twice prior to the auction
The selection has already been made, making it easy for buyers to find a varied range of foals with lots of quality all in one place.
Big names
Popular stallions such as Las Vegas and So Perfect are represented in the auction by offspring San Francisco and Sastrade I K. The latter is a daughter of the Small Tour and National Mare Championships-contestant Estrade K. In Solei, three luminaries are listed in a row: Vivaldi x Bordeaux x Sir Donnerhall I. And this auction also includes a direct descendant of Sir Donnerhall I, Showtime (ds.Vivaldi). Last year, the full brother of this foal turned out to be the top seller of the Early Summer Auction.
