WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS SUCCESSES REFLECTED IN DRESSAGE FOAL COLLECTION

With the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses behind us we can assess the results with regard to our foal collection. Wynton son Imposantos left a strong impression with Bart Veeze. This KWPN approved stallion was auctioned at the 2013 Foal Auction Borculo. The international dressage jury described the stallion, bred by Willy Wijnen from Berlicum, as a black pearl and rewarded him with an 8.96, with 9s for walk, trot and perspective. In the finals, Imposantos finished in seventh place. From the direct dam line of Imposantos, and from the same breeder, we are offering Narina (catalogue number 38) this year. She is a daughter of the Grand Prix mare Tarina.
This is not the only success associated with Foal Auction Borculo. On Thursday 30 August, several offspring of well-performing World Championships stallions will go under the hammer. By Revolution, famous because of his phenomenal movements and World Champion with the five-year-olds, two offspring from superb dam lines will be auctioned, namely Nijinsky ( no. 51; ds. All at Once) and Nutella Q (no. 52; ds. Desperado).
Strong dam lines
In the five-year-olds category the best KWPN result was for Asgard’s Ibiza, a well-developed son of Desperado who ended fifth in the championship. Four foals from the same dam line as Asgard’s Ibiza will be auctioned, including Noblesse P (no. 62), a daughter of the KWPN-recognized Vitalis. Vitalis had no less than three offspring at the World Championships, including the silver medallist. Four offspring (no. 62 to 65) by Vitalis go under the hammer at Foal Auction Borculo, and in addition one grandson (no. 61) of this outstanding sire.
Out of the damline of Don Juan de Hus
The youth is the future. Foal Auction Borculo takes that motto to heart when it comes to offspring by young stallions. The beautiful Indian Rock, eighth at the World Championships, has an outstanding foal in the auction in Night Dream (no. 43; ds. De Niro). The sympathetic In Style, who ended fifteenth in the finals, delivers two high-quality offspring (no. 39 and 40) from strong dam lines.
D’Avie, winner with the six-year-olds, delivered Severo Jurado Lopez his fourth golden medal at a World Championships. D'Avie is by the late Don Juan de Hus, a son of Jazz, who makes more and more name for himself as a breeding stallion. Last year the phenomenal Don Martillo won the title in the five-year-olds division and this year Don Juan de Hus had three strong performing offspring at the World Championships. No-Toir (no. 14, s. Eye Catcher) comes out of the direct dam line of Don Juan the Hus and will be auctioned at Foal Auction Borculo.
Totilas richly represented
The blood of Totilas was richly represented in Ermelo. The dressage phenomenon is at least as successful in breeding as he was in the sport. At the World Championships, no less than four Totilas offspring performed really well. The most outstanding performance was from silver medallist Governor-STR, who combines the blood of Totilas with the dam line of the Olympic horse Parzival.
Both Totilas (no. 58 to 60) and Governor-STR (no. 34) have well moving foals from strong dam lines in the elite auction.
